Gideon If you are a fan of 70's prog like King Crimson, ELP and Yes then this is a must have album. I picked the second track because of the fantastic mellotron! However track 7 is also brilliant with King Crimson and Genesis being played.
The production of this album is also first class especially when you consider this was recorded live!! Favorite track: Orizzonte Degli Eventi.

Alrihkh A very good concert capture of Finisterre in 1997. I especially enjoy the King Crimson tributes in Phaedra. A good example of RPI music. Altaloma is, also, a highlight for me. 7.5/10. Favorite track: Phaedra.

Carsten Pieper More RPI anyone? This time a live recording (ProgDay 1997) of one (of many) Fabio Zuffanti bands, one of the genre's leading figures. Retro progressive rock in the best sense. Strong original material and a PFM cover (Altaloma). And check out, how they include bits and bigger pieces of other greats (King Crimson, Genesis) in Phaedra and even the "Too much heaven on their minds" guitar riff in Altaloma. The audience must have had loads of fun :-) Favorite track: Phaedra.

Steven McCabe A great Italian band and this live album is an essential addition to your collection. Great cover of the PFM classic, too! Favorite track: Altaloma.

about

Finisterre is one of the most interesting bands to have emerged from the international progressive rock scene in recent years. Drawing on the rich legacy of landmark 1970s Italian prog pioneers, Finisterre is a band that's always keen to experiment -- exploring many different musical directions -- while still managing to have established and maintain a unique and recognizable identity. Storybook documents Finisterre's first American concert, in the Summer of 1997, at Progfest. The music on their MoonJune debut is as adventurous and gripping as we've been led to expect from the band. The repertoire consists of often-extended versions of compositions from their first two well-received studio albums, "Finisterre" and "In Limine", plus a superb cover of PFM's anthem "Altaloma". This is one adventurous disc that will appeal to all progressive music fans, dynamically capturing the excitement of that unforgettable evening.
“... Storybook signifies a delectably appealing addition to the slightly asymmetrical contemporary progressive rock scene. Recommended.” -Glenn Astarita, All About Jazz
